If someone asks me to define Hostel life (boarding house) I would definitely say a life time experience and a kind of teacher whose lectures you won't be going to forget. It is a place where you will learn everything, How to live in the society, how to manage things, matching expenses with pocket money by the way this happen very rear, especially how to survive in a place.
People says “Time is good teacher, its teaches
everything”. Surely it is but I won't be wrong if I say “Hostel (Boarding House) is a great teacher
which teaches everything before time :-p ”.
Specialty
of hostel is: living between people who are unknown to you before hostel life
and after hostel life it feels like they are with you from your childhood.
Hostel is the first place where everyone learns for the very first time that
how to live among the people of different classes having different family
background, how to adjust your mind with them. One of the great things about
hostel is its sharing culture. And if didn't adopt its culture then you’ll
definitely have a small circle of friends may be a few.

One
specialty of it is how to tolerate a person and increases a man tolerance
level. How to tease a person especially is a great feature of hostel life.
From the
very start I am only praising hostel life and pretending to show that it is like
a heaven but as you all every picture has two sides. The good and bad. But it
is natural phenomena, everything has merits and demerits. We can improve the
bad side but can't remove the bad side. So far I was writing about good
aspects, the fun. Now starting the bad aspects, the dark side! The reasons of
why parents are not willingly send their children's to boarding house.
In a society, reputation is everything. It is one the qualities of our world
that the bad thing become popular far more quick than the good thing. It is
like a wildfire. So the people are aware of bad effects of almost everything
but a little aware of good side. Same is the case with hostels. Parents are
aware of facts of hostels bad lives but they are not aware of good things about
hostel. They don't even know how overcome these bad things.
Causes of
the bad habits in hostel are giving children free hand from parents side, not
visiting him regularly and the most important I think are nurture and his
nature. Nature is person structure and through Nurture it can be corrected and
polished. One of the popular bad habits which connected with hostels is
addiction of drugs. It can be avoided via correct nurturing right from
childhood.
One day
we were discussing hostel life so one friend said I'll never admit my children
in a boarding school. To support of his statement he said they will be my blood
and greater chances are there that they will be like me. So as what kind of
life I spend in hostel may be they will be going to spend their life like me so
that why.... In his talk he totally ignored nurture. I spotted it out at that
time but he didn't agree with me, I don't know why. Children are like hot iron.
They have the flexibility of bending everywhere. At that time if they have
provided the correct atmosphere so the parents can avoid embarrassment in
future.
Hostel!
Everything has good and bad aspects. We should take good seriously and think
about improvement of bad aspects.
Personally I feel hostel is a great place which helps in making a man character. This is what I felt about hostel life and I wrote it down.
