Pushtoons and Pathans::

Pukhtoons commonly known as Pathan but they aren't. Pathans are residents of the area around Pthankot, India. There ancestral root meet with that of Pukhtoons but there dynasty named after the area where they got settled when 1st Muslim Pukhtoon(A Prophet Companion (Sahabi)) was on the way back to his home(Afghanistan) from Madina Munaowara. On the way back, there convey take rest at place Pathan Kot and One of his sons left convoy in that area, settled there. Pathans, from years don't speaks Pushto. Pathan is a dynasty while Pushtoon is a Nation. Pushtoons is one of the few nation who are following only one religion entirely, that is Islam.

The Nick Name "Khan Sahib"::

If u guess that a person is pushtoon or belongs to area around KP or Afghanistan and you don't know his name so call him "Khan Sahib". The most common nick name of entire pushtoon tribe. Most of the Pushtoons are also pleased if they are bieng called by this nick name.

Unfortunately we used different words but don't bother to know it's history or origin of that word. But some words has very disdain history/origin.

The word "Khan Sahib" is a great example. There are also other many words which are the product of above phenomenon like khansama, Barbaric(Barbariyat in Urdu). In sub continent,the singers were to be called by the name of Khan Sahib and the similar name used by English men for Pushtoons just to humiliate them. They were also aware of the fact that although Pushtoons love music but hate singers and to be a singer. They never accepted a musician,a singer in society although nowadays this trend is now bowing in favour of musicians/actors/singers.      

Did anyone ever wonder why there is a Man in Pukhtoons get up standing at Main doors to Welcome guest in several public places?
This is also the product of British Colonial Era. This trend is also started by Britain's. They use this thing to humiliate Pushtoon. When I was writing these above line,my first thought was the reader will tag me as conservative but this is not about being liberal or conservative. May be some have the opinion that this is because of Pukhtoons are one of the most hospitable nation & this is sign of being hospitable but this is not true. If this is true than why is he at the main gate like watchman not inside???
