- We lag behind in technology race, having no access to it.
- The International world is stereotyping us by doing so.
- Some expert says that it was one of the reason in the delaying of 3G/4G technology introduction in our country and less out of auction as YouTube is ban.
Two year ago Government of Pakistan
announces to shut YouTube on the demand
made by public because of Blasphemous video published on it. And Government first request the YouTube to remove these content but they rejected the government
request. YouTube was also banned in
Bangladesh and a few more Islamic countries on the same reason which also
reduced its revenue significantly but they stick to their policy. Later on
their revenue gap catch up as people learned how to tackle these ban and
learned how to use proxy changers which enable them to use blocked websites.
On this act some praises the government
stand and some criticizes this step. Currently YouTube is still ban in my country
(Pakistan). Most of people have argument that
Most of us seeing its darker side and
worrying about it. And the strange thing is, those who praises the government
for his stand on YouTube start using it as soon they learned about proxy sites
& application. The proxy sites and applications earn a lot in those days
and YouTube also got recovered financially.
Banning YouTube was not seemed as good
stance as YouTube is a video library and in a library if one book is not good
then need is to change that book not to shut down the library. But in case of
this particular library we had closed the library and it benefited us. I am
sure will curious that how it benefited us????
I am talking about its brighter side. Is
there any brighter side?? Yes it has.
Banning YouTube benefited a lot of web
developers. Web developers’ starts making their own web video portals and
video sites on the concept of YouTube for purely Pakistani contents which
become popular among the viewer of YouTube.according to Alexa web ranking, Dramas sites are leading and followed by
Pakistani News video libraries/web portals (Zem
tv, Siasi TV, AndazTV etc). A lot of
developers tried and some are still trying to build something unique as
banning YouTube provided a lot of space. Most the people still using YouTube
by proxies but these Pakistani sites also flourish along with.
My point of view is banning YouTube help
Pakistan a lot as it gave space to web
developers and bright minds to think about what they can do and they
did it by making video sites and operating it successful. It helps in two ways
that is technological and financial.
Technological as it brings development
is Pakistan’s web community and they are trying to push there self to at most
limits. In terms of finance, these web developers also earn a lot and that
money which supposed to transfer abroad stays in the country by using
Pakistani sites. This also help national treasury.
I accept
banning YouTube is not good but if I am right than it proves good.
Proxy sites help us in a lot of ways in our online time. The mainly significant is that a proxy site helps us to unblock or most favorite social site. Mp3lemon UK proxy
